Attic Cleanouts - Michigan

Wildlife can carry various insects such as fleas, ticks, mites and bat-bugs. Removing both the wildlife and the soiled area may help solve these problems.

Additionally once wildlife (such as bats) have been removed there is generally evidence that they once occupied the attic.  This can become a problem, if you ever decide to sell your home.  It can be just enough evidence to scare away a buyer, or confuse a home inspector.

One of the primary reasons to have the attic cleaned is when there is a significant buildup of fecal matter or you have some sort of insect issue from wildlife.  This buildup can contribute to staining on the ceilings and can compress insulation and compromise energy efficiency.  Cleanup of attics that have been severely damaged by wildlife, may be covered under your homeowners insurance policy. Check with your specific insurance carrier.

Our company maintains a residential builders license which allows us to remove damaged insulation that can be contaminated with bat guano or raccoon urine or droppings.

We have a 18 HP gasoline powered industrial vacuum (and a 13 HP backup) that is designed to remove contaminated loose fill insulation from attics.  The equipment is equipped with over 200 feet of 4 inch hose.  The vacuum is stationed outside and the hose is fed through your attic hatch, or soffit vent.

Additionally, we have the capability to replace insulation or to add a fresh layer of TAP Pest Control Insulation on top of your exisitng attic insulation.

Choose a company with a residential builders license, such as Critter Catchers for your attic cleanup needs.
