Raccoon Prevention Tips
Suburban neighborhoods can support an overabundance of raccoons. You can do your part to reduce the risk contributing to excess populations which can result in incurring damage to your home.
1) Do not leave pet food or garbage outside during the evening hours. Clean up spilled bird seed around your bird feeder.
2) Trim back excess vegetation around your house or deck to reduce the amount of cover and hiding places.
3) Keep trees away from the house to prevent easy access to your roof.
4) Ensure that your chimney is properly capped.
5) Animal proof low decks.
