Ortonville-based Critter Catchers, Inc. recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Laura Hohman, an Indiana State University biology major and master’s degree candidate, to study bat houses and the most effective utilization of bat structures. Hohman works in conjunction with the Center for North American Bat Research and the Organization for Bat Conservation.

Critter Catchers is a local wildlife and bat removal firm founded by village resident David Kugler.
