|
|
- In 2008, we established a
Bat
Educational Grant to bring OBC's Live Bat
Experience into Michigan Nature Centers and other venues.
We continue the support to this day, as a way to give back to
the community and inspire future scientists. Over 38
events have been hosted or are scheduled in SE Michigan through
2012.
|
- A photograph of our work was featured in
Bats of Michigan. This book was authored
by Dr. Allen Kurta from Eastern Michigan University, and he is
considered the authority on bats in our state.

- We are active members of the Midwest Bat
Working Group. The group was newly formed in 2009 to
address issues related to white nose syndrome and wind farm

|
- We attended the 2009, 2010,
2011, 2012 Michigan Bat Working
Group meetings at the US Fish and Wildlife Service office to
obtain
information on the latest rabies and white nose syndrome.
We were the only private industry represented at the meeting.

- We have been active Members of the National
Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) since 2006.
|
- We have been a member of Michigan Animal
