Basic Biology of Ants
Ants are some of the most sucessful social insects that invade homes. Ants are social insects that live in colonies or nests. Most prefer to nest in the ground, decaying wood, or home structures. Ants feed on a variety of food sources depending on the species or the season. During times of high egg production, ants tend to focus on protein. Whereas other times ants may prefer sugars to provide energy for workers or larva.
