Austin attended the honors college at Grand Valley State University and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Before coming to Critter Catchers, he previously worked for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Natural Resource Department as an Assistant Wildlife Biologist where he conducted small mammal trapping studies and ruffed grouse habitat selection studies. Austin started working at Critter Catchers in Spring of 2022. In the Fall of 2025, Austin was moved to the office to provide customer service and to help manage the resources in the field. In his spare time he enjoys kayaking, fishing and learning anything he can about wildlife.
